Misael Espinosa Cordero Puebla

Misael, Latin dance instruct11745717_10201109876304331_7873837665288571751_nor and founder of MiSalsaCubana Dance Company, Co-Founder of Tropicalentura and Bachatamo Dance Company was born in Santiago de Cuba, Cuba.  Misael is also a qualified choir conductor and trained in singing, dancing and acting at the  prestigious Escuela de Instructores de Arte Pepito Tey, Santiago de Cuba, before graduating in 2004.

Since moving to the UK in 2006, he has focused on teaching latin dance as well as performing; and he strives to promote the Cuban style of Salsa dancing, music and culture.  Misael has already become a well established name on the Latin dance scene, winning 2nd place in the Latin UK Awards (LUKAS) in 2014.

His patience and lively character ensure that his classes are relaxed and fun to participate in, yet serious when necessary, and he relishes seeing people improve their dancing.  He is a regular instructor and DJ at some of the biggest Salsa events in the UK as well as managing his own events and congresses in Wales, in collaboration with the Tropicalentura team.

Misael teaches highly popular, regular classes in Plymouth and Exeter where his repertoire extends to Los Angeles (LA) style Salsa, Bachata, Bachatango and Rueda de Casino, in addition to Cuban Salsa.  He previously ran his own Latin Club, The Latin Lounge in Plymouth, which hosted monthly parties, workshops, classes and events.

Misael has worked alongside some of the biggest names in Latin dance, such as Roly Maden, Maykel Fonts, Clave Negra, U-Tribe, Yanet Fuentes, Rafael del Busto, Osbanis and Anneta, Alberto Valdes, Moe Flex, Hugo Cortes, Kerry Ribchester, Robert Charlemagne, Miguel & Mayana, Mauro Casali & Eva Hurychova, Miguel Montiero, Iris de Brito, Enrique Perez, Duana, Diana Rodriguez, Mauricio Reyes, Yoandy Villaurruti, Ismaray Aspirina Chacon, Joseph Koniak & Solange Dias and many, many more!).

Misael has taught in various cities, such as Havana, Santiago De Cuba, Cardiff, London, Birmingham, Manchester, Cheltenham, Bournemouth, Newport, Swansea, Bangor, Bath, Southport, Leeds, Nottingham, Torquay and Bristol (to name a few).

He has appeared on local TV, ITV Wales The Wales Show teaching Salsa, in the popular welsh Soap Opera Pobol y Cwm dancing and acting.  He has also worked with celebrities Matthew Kelly and Colin Jackson.
